Bradley Harms

Works / Exhibitions / CV / News

An MFA graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, Bradley asks us, “What do we know, and what do we think we know… about abstraction… and about ourselves?” Reality & fiction face-off in his work blurring the line between the Abstraction we have come to know, and the complex fictional truths that he offers up on canvas. Colour & depth are rethought & reintroduced, and force the viewer to concede with, “I don’t know anymore.” No rulers, nor planes, were used in the argument for truth here. His work has been reviewed in The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star FFW Magazine and Canadian Art. Bradley Harms has shown across canada and his work rests in collections such as the Canada Council for the Arts collection, Bmo Corporate Collection, and The Nickel Arts Museum.
