ANGELL GALLERY is pleased to present DAN HUDSON: FRAGMENTS OF A YEAR, an installation. This exhibition will be featured in the East Gallery from February 20 to March 21, 2015. An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 20, 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

Most of Hudson's video projects use methodical processes that verge on ritual. These processes are often based on the Earth's planetary movements through space. For this project, Hudson traveled to the exact same location at Barrie Lake, Alberta once a week for a year to film the changing landscape. It is a chronicle of the Earth's journey around the sun as witnessed from the surface of the planet.

Dan Hudson is a photo-based artist and a photo journalist.  His recent accomplishments include 6 international awards, 7 peer-assessed visual arts project grants, a major public art commission and participation in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Hudson's work is represented in the collections of museums, public galleries and private collections throughout North America and Europe. Currently he divides his studio practice between Berlin, Germany and Canmore, Canada.
